A specialty within my practice

Sex Therapy

Sex and intimacy are part of being human, and they are allowed to be part of therapy. Whether something feels stuck, painful, confusing, or simply unspoken, this is a space to talk about it openly and without shame.

What this work is

Sex therapy with me is talk therapy. We may talk directly and specifically about desire, arousal, intimacy, sexual history, difficulties, fantasies, or things like pornography use, because that kind of honest, clinical conversation is what actually helps. It is approached with the same professionalism and confidentiality as anything else we would discuss.

What it isn't

To be clear about what this is and is not: the work is entirely conversation. There is no physical contact, nudity, or sexual activity of any kind, and it is separate from surrogate partner therapy, which I do not provide. My role is a neutral, non-judgmental one. I am not here to share my own preferences or opinions, only to help you understand and work through yours.

Individuals and couples

I do this work with both individuals and couples. When couples take it on, both partners consent to it independently, and we move at a pace that feels safe for everyone in the room. You can also decline or pause this focus at any time, without it affecting the rest of your therapy.

My training in this area

This is a specialty I have pursued deliberately. I trained extensively under Dr. Manuel Fernandez, and I have completed continuing education focused on sex therapy, sexual disorders, and sexual dysfunction. It is work I take seriously and approach with care.

If any of this feels relevant to you, a brief phone consultation is a low-stakes way to begin.
